Bogie Cats Trip to the Vet

In typical Bogie fashion, when it was time to get in the cat carrier, he hid under the dining room table. I managed to catch him, get him in the carrier, and loaded in the car in less than 15 minutes.

On the drive there, he made the saddest meowing sound. I always feel so bad when taking him to the vet, but this time he really needed to go as he has some type of cut/scar/scab on his face. The vet gave him some antibiotic ointment, and is doing some tests to rule out any type of fungus, bacteria, or skin-cancer (Bogie is white and gold and apparently, skin-cancer is common in light colored kitties)

I've got my fingers crossed and am saying a little prayer that it's just an infected cut and the antibiotics will do the trick. I'll keep you posted.... >^..^<

  • Good News... It looks like the antibiotic is starting to work, as it doesn't look as bad. I really hope it's just an infection and nothing more serious. Hang in there Bogie Kitty...

  • Bogie cat is one sad kitty. The mark on his face is getting worse because he keeps scratching it open. Last night, I bought the dreaded E-Collar from Petsmart to put on him.

He's tolerating it... but I sure feel terrible for him. He looks so sad and keeps bumping into chairs and the wall. Hang in there Bogie Kitty!!!

  • Bogie cat is all better. He had to wear the e-collar for a couple extra weeks, but it's all healed up now. :-)
