How rude..

Can't we all just get along? As much as I hate to admit it, people (including myself) can just be rude sometimes. Sure, we all get busy and too caught up in our own word, but shouldn't we all try and be nice to one another?

  • 4/06 - I was at a local store, doing a little shopping after work, when another customer came within earshot. She was holding her phone out in front of herself and was speaking "VERY LOUD" in the direction of the phone. Add to that, the fact that she wasn't wearing an earpiece, so all the other patrons, including myself, were lucky enough to get to hear both sides of a very loud phone conversation.

Please everyone, check your volume and try to be considerate.

  • Last week, I walked up next to some lady at a stop light and after a few moments, she moved away from me. I thought, how rude of her, I was going to just say hello, but she moved away!

    :-P Sorry Lori, I couldn't resist.

  • Yes there are rude people around town. The other day I was in my car minding my own busniess painting my toenails when I noticed some lady staring me down. I wanted to tell her how rude she was for staring...

  • 5/7/06 - Sunday afternoon, I decided to partake in some "Retail Therapy". I ventured out to one of my favorite stores, and was browsing for something new to wear. I couldn't help but overhear another customer complaining to a store employee about the selection in the store, and how she didn't like what they had to offer.

The store employee politely told that "Corporate" always likes to hear customer feedback, and asked if she'd like the toll-free number to call and provide some feedback. The customer replied with a rude tone, "I'm too busy to do that, besides, you should have buyers that know what I want."

I laughed to myself and just smiled at the store employee. Other than "Wacking" the lady upside the head, there wasn't much I could do. ;-)

  • 5/26/06 - After a nice dinner with friends, we stopped for some ice cream. We sat outside since Indiana was not yet in "Humidity Fest '06". After a while, a guy smoking a cigarette decided to stand almost next to us to finish his cigarette before entering the ice cream shop.

Yummy... cookie dough with nicotine and tar... :-(
