I'm disapointed that our President vetoed Stem Cell Research Funding. I am all for using something that was going to be destroyed to possibly cure Cancer, Leukemia, or help people with paralisys walk again (think of the Star Trek episode where they "grew" a new spine for Warf) :-) I want that for my brother-in law!
I don't like the idea of families having second or third children in the hopes of having a "donor" child for their first child...(hmmm.. Am I supposed to be a donor for my sister? ;-)
Finally, I don't think that a decision on a scientific matter (which is where I place stem cell research) should be fueled by ones religion. Yes, I'm a Christian, I'm also a Democratic, and Yes, I want women to have the right to have an aborition, so now add to that list that Yes, I think the government should support stem cell research. --LR
