Um, this isn't really a tradition, but it's funny. I remember at one Thanksgiving my sister asked my brand new husband to pass the turkey, except she called him by my old boyfriends name! HILARIOUS!!
We don't really have family traditions. My mom has not had Thanksgiving in several years (or at least she has not invited me) and this year after my husband and I have plans (we are going to Jonathan Byrd's with my mother in law and grandma) she decides to have Thanksgiving.
Tradition for me personally, eating bunches of food, sleepin and eating again.
I do remember a funny Thanksgiving. About 10 years ago we had everyone possible on my dad's side of the famly up for Thanksgiving. There were probably 20-25 total. That morning my parents get up to find out that the well broke or something. So we had no water to wash dishes, to fix dinner or even flush toilets on a regular basis. We immediately went into town, bought as many side dishes and things we could find for dinner and gallons of water so we could wash our hands, dishes and flush the toilet. I still look back and laugh even though then it was not that funny. MY parents were beyond stressed.
