What do you mean you don't take plastic??!!??!!

Earlier this week, I went to lunch with one of my new co-workers. We made a quick stop at a place really close to work. As usual, I pull out my debit card to pay for lunch. The friendly cashier says "We don't accept debit cards". So, I pull out one of my credit cards, because "TECHNICALLY" it isn't a debit card, instead it's a "CREDIT" card. Much to my surprise, the restaurant didn't accept credit cards either. As I stood there dumb-founded, my co-worker swooped in for the rescue and luckily had enough cash to cover my meal.

Now-a-days even Steak n' Shake accepts debit/credit cards. Good grief... It's 2005... why on earth wouldn't a restaurant accept debit/credit cards???

Pet Fest 2005

On Saturday, May 7, over 30 animal rescues and shelters are scheduled to participate in the Pet Fest 2005 Adoption Day at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. These organizations come together in one location for one day so the public can see available animals and talk with each group. Hopefully, by the end of the day many, many animals of all types will find their forever homes.
