Cute Things My Nephews Say and Do - 2005
That's right. Like any proud aunt or uncle would do, I'm setting up section to outline some of the funniest, cutest, silliest, crazy things my two nephews do. My nephews are Cody, who turned 6 in 10/05 and Kyle who turned 3 in 10/05. I love them both dearly, and hope someday they enjoy these entries.
11/05 Cody is playing in his first basketball league at his grade school. In his world premier, he was putting the moves on the other six year olds when he ended up on the floor. Rather than talk some trash to the other teams or do a "Ron Artest", he did what any six year old would do upon receiving a "boo-boo", he promptly crossed the court, climbed the bleachers and sat down by mom--while the teams were STILL playing. ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!! Sure, when he's playing for the Pacers, he might not remember this moment, but I'm sure his mom will never forget!
6/05 - For as long as I can remember, anytime a friend had a baby girl, I always recommended naming the baby Lori. Needless to say, no luck so far. However, my nephew Cody was playing with a kitty cat, and when asked what he wanted to name the kitty, he replied "Lori". Bring on the waterworks!!!
12/04 For those of you who have worked with me, you know that I like to have fun toys at my desk. One toy is an AFLAC duck, that says AFLAC three times in a progressively louder voice. This duck cracks me up, and can make a bad day at work bearable.
On Thursday, we had a snow storm, and the kids' day-care was closed. Debbie, my sister, stopped by to see me with the boys. Cody remembered the duck and squeezed it a few times for some laughs.
Later that night, he was running around the play room at home yelling AF-Quack, AF-Quack, AF-QUACK!!!
