Christmas Tree Lighting - Downtown Friday

It's that time of year again, time for Indianapolis to celebrate the holiday season by lighting the tree on the circle. The Circle of Lights takes place on Friday, 11/26. Sounds like a good reason to head downtown.

I'm also happy to report that I already have my Christmas tree decorated, and hope to add some outside decorations in the next few days.

Are Membership Clubs Out of Date?

Last night, I was watching the episode of Seinfeld where Jerry might join the Friars Club. I'm curious if you or anyone you know is a member of an organization that requires a membership or sponsorship application process, and what benefit is gained from joining?

Disclaimer...I'm not currently a member of any club that limits membership nor do I have any issue with anyone who is or isn't. You should know my motto by now...."To Each His/Her Own".

Now, in your best Seinfeld voice, please answer this question.. "What's the deal with these clubs"?

Help picking a Hobby..

Hi there.. I'm looking to pick up a new hobby. (Trying to branch out in the world). What suggestions do you have? For those of you who know me, you'll know that I'm not into scrapbooking or knitting, so try to stay away from that. Also, I don't think skydiving or auto-racing would work well either.

Oh No.. It can't be....Legwarmers???

Did I see correctly? Is it time for new glasses? Surely it can't be.... are legwarmers coming back in style? On the drive to breakfast this morning, I noticed a shockingly colored pair of legwarmers. Oh sure, I wore these back in the 80's, but oh I hope this fad doesn't pick up.

Girls.. Get a copy of this book!!!

Over the weekend, I visited my local bookstore. While browsing thru the new releases and best-sellers, I found a release entitled He's Just Not That Into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys. It's a light-hearted book, but does a great job at explaining guys. I wish this book would have been written years ago. It addresses lots lines/excuses/issues such as:

1. He just got out of a bad relationship and isn't not ready to date...
2. He's so busy with work, he don't have time for a relationship...
3. He wants to take it slow...
4. Maybe he's intimidated by me...
5. Maybe he doesn't want to ruin the friendship...
6. Maybe he forgot to remember me.. (**This one is my FAVORITE**)

Girls, get a copy of this book. It will save you lots of time and heartache!!!

Hopeless Romantic

I watched "Shakespeare In Love" last night. I absolutely love this movie. I've watched this movie many, many times. It brings out the hopeless romantic in me.
